(Total hours provided per typical week 35 hours)
All year 3 and 4 children should be picked up from their classroom doors at 15:30 (unless they are attending an after-school club) to avoid leaving the school site unsupervised.
This has been recognised as an inappropriate safeguarding risk to pupils through external professionals. We trust the reason for this is understood by parents and carers.
We invite all parents and carers of our pupils to either wait in the playgrounds or to come to the front area of the grounds near to the main reception to wait for children. This way the congestion and risk factors are then reduced at the school gates.
Where children are attending after-school clubs, years 3 & 4 children will be dismissed to their responsible adult at 16:30.
In the event of a young person’s responsible adult not being present, the child will remain inside the school and supervised by our friendly office team who will contact the appropriate parent.
